The RRU performs the following functions:
* Receives downlink baseband data from the BBU and sends uplink baseband data to this baseband unit.
*Receives an RF signal from the antenna system, down-converts the signal to an intermediate frequency (IF) signal, amplifies the IF signal, performs analog-to-digital conversion, and up-converts the RF signal to the transmit (TX) band.
* Multiplexing the receive (RX) and TX signal RF channels allows these signals to share the same antenna channel and filter the RX and TX signals.
*Available with built-in offset tee (BT). The built-in BT couples the RF signal and OOK signal and transmits them through TX/RX port A. The built-in BT is also a Tower Mount Amplifier (TMA).
* RRU can use AC/DC power supply module. In this case, this RRU is called a remote communication unit.
